The judges were particularly impressed with the fact that their enterprise was so much more than a profit making business it was a driving force for social change.įrom their profits they have chosen to donate £250 to The Black Curriculum and and additional £168 to Book Love in a Box. They created a video reflecting on their experiences which really demonstrated how much they had learned and grown as entrepreneurs. Not only were they judged on profit, but also: creativity and innovation, problem solving and financial skills, self-management and resilience, communication, digital skills, teamwork and leadership. This is such an endorsement of the business skills they have acquired and developed over the last 9 months. They have been absolutely committed from the very inception in October 2020 when they first started discussing ideas, merchandise and designs. I am so proud of the way these 7 girls have worked towards this amazing achievement.

This means they have been invited to attend the grand final celebration at Hampton Court Palace in September where the winners will be announced! This week the Tycoon Team HOPE received the exciting news from the Peter Jones Foundation that they have made it into the top 10 of nearly 300 businesses of this year’s Tycoons in schools competition.
